What is special luggage
Special luggage, also called odd-sized luggage or oversized luggage, is any extra checked-in luggage. This can be, for example, baby prams, bicycles, skis, golf bags, tools, sports equipment, etc.. If your dog, cat or other pets are travelling with you, they are also considered special luggage.
Examples of special luggage:
- Baby prams, strollers and wheelchairs
- Pets, for example, cats and dogs
- Bicycles
- Skis and similar equipment
- Sports equipment, for example, surfboard, golf- and diving equipment
- Musical instruments
- Tools and similar objects
- Fishing rods, fishing tools, tents etc.
- Large electronic types of equipment like televisions, drones, computer screens, speakers etc.
How to travel with special luggage
If you are travelling with odd-sized or special luggage, you must check in at the manned desk at the airport. This is applicable even when you check in from home or on the self-service machines at the airport.
