Checked Luggage

How much can the checked luggage weigh?

The weight regulations for checked luggage vary between airlines. The requirement for Atlantic Airlines is that the weight may not exceed 23 kg, while others may require a max of 20 kg or less.

The requirements for checked luggage may be restricted depending on ticket type or airline regulations. If your luggage weight exceeds the limit, a fee may be applied.

We recommend that you contact your airline for more information about luggage regulations.

How much checked luggage can I have?

The number of allowed checked luggage depends on your ticket type and airline regulations. For instance, some ticket types allow one piece of up to 23 kg, while others allow for two pieces.

We recommend that you contact your airline for more information on luggage regulations.

Can I have batteries in checked luggage?

Certain airlines do not permit batteries or battery-driven devices in checked luggage. These should rather be put in your carry-on. This includes phones, tablets, power banks, etc. because these contain lithium batteries.

You are permitted to bring household batteries in both the carry-on and checked luggage. This includes AA and AAA batteries.

Should medication be in the checked luggage?

It is up to you if your medication should be in checked luggage or carry-on. We do recommend that you bring all the necessary medications in the carry-on so that you may have them with you for the duration of the journey.

Can I bring weapons in checked luggage?

Special restrictions apply if you are travelling with weapons. Weapons and ammunition are often required to be checked as special luggage and require permission from the airline before travelling.
