Regulations for the size and weight of your luggage may vary depending on your airline. Some airlines also have different regulations depending on destination, departure place and plane ticket types.  

Therefore, it is important to check which regulations apply to your airline or travel agency.

If you have lost any items at Vágar Airport, you can contact our Lost & Found at

For any missing items lost onboard an aeroplane, you have to contact the airline services you travelled with.

If you have any lost or damaged luggage please contact Atlantic Airways at (+298) 34 10 00 or by emailing rcbagservice@atlantic.fo.  

 

Tax-Free and Customs

Tax-free for those travelling to The Faroe Islands

You can, under certain circumstances, import goods to the Faroe Islands tax-and duty-free.  

We recommend getting familiar with the tax regulations on the TAKS website.

Tax-free

If you are not a permanent resident of the Faroe Islands, you can buy tax-free in the Faroe Islands. You can do this by requesting a tax-free sticker from Planet Pay in the stores you purchase from. 

The purchase amount must be 300 kr minimum in each store. You can exchange your tax-free receipts at our Information Desks for a possible 13-18% return.
