The airport has been made as user-friendly as possible. There are, for example, no doorway planks?, and accessible toilets are located both before (landside) and after (airside) check-in.
On the landside, there is also a mechanical changing bench in the accessible toilets, intended for those who might need special assistance.
Atlantic Airways has a separate lift that can assist passengers in wheelchairs to board and deboard an aircraft. Likewise, they offer wheelchairs for passengers who need them.
Down below, you can find more information regarding preparation, check-in and layouts of the aircraft.

We also encourage you to get to the airport in good time so that all the necessary preparations can be made in advance.
By the main entrance, two parking spaces are intended for visitors who have impaired mobility. For long-term parking please use the general parking facilities.
We have a toilet located in the entrance hall that is intended for those who use wheelchairs or might otherwise need assistance. As well as a wheelchair for short-term stays at the airport.
Check-In
If you have requested special assistance, use a wheelchair or walking assistance it is important to be at the check-in well before your departure.
If you have requested assistance when booking your flight, the airline staff will be happy to assist with check-ins and bag drops. Staff may help you through security and to the aircraft. If you need a staff member for assistance, you can contact the airlines directly for more information.
Electronic wheelchairs are not permitted onboard the aircraft but must instead be checked in as cargo or goods. In several airports, it is possible to borrow a free wheelchair between check-in and departure. The airlines can inform you on what regulations apply to wheelchairs that use dry battery or wet battery.
If a wheelchair is collapsible, it can normally be used up to the aircraft door.
Onboard the Aircraft
It is a standard procedure that passengers with reduced mobility are permitted onboard the aircraft before other passengers. If the passenger has requested assistance beforehand, the staff will assist the passenger onto the aircraft.
Please note that procedures may vary between airlines and airports. Please contact the specific airlines or airports for more regulatory information.
The lavatories onboard the aircraft are small and narrow and, therefore, can be challenging for wheelchairs. On certain flight routes and aircraft, a wheelchair is available for use. However, the flight crew may not help with any heavy lifting, special dietary accommodations or bathroom assistance.
