Atlantic Airways is the international airline of the Faroe Islands, headquartered in Sørvágur.

Atlantic Airways was founded on November 10, 1987, and operated its first flight to Copenhagen on March 28, 1988. Since then, Atlantic Airways has continuously developed both its fleet and route network. In the early years, flights were operated with aircraft from British Aerospace, and since 2012 with Airbus models.

Atlantic Airways also operates the helicopter service in the Faroe Islands and is involved in hotel operations at Hotel Vágar and Hotel Hilton.

Today, Atlantic Airways flies to 12 direct destinations in Europe, thereby connecting the Faroe Islands more closely to the rest of the world.
