Yet another historical day at Vagar Airport

The 7th of April 2017 was yet another historical day at Vagar Airport as the airport for the first time handled three A320´s.

With one Atlantic Airways and two SAS arrivals with 480 passengers inside 23 minutes and three departures with roughly the same figure, this was the first time that three A320´s and one A319 occupied the forecourt at Vagar Airport.

After a slow start to 2017, primarily due to the fact that the Easter holiday in 2017 is in April, Vagar Airport believes that April will become the busiest April in the history of Vagar Airport.

“Based on preliminary figures it seems as if April will mark another milestone in the history of Vagar Airport. As SAS started their operations on the 26th of March, April will give an reel indication of the impact of competition on the route between the Faroe Islands and Copenhagen”, says Jákup Sverri Kass, CEO at Vagar Airport.
