Old acquaintance visits Vagar

This morning a Boeing 737 aircraft from the Sterling airline company landed at Vagar Airport.

Although Sterling does not ply its regular trade from Vagar Airport, this particular aircraft; OY-API is an old acquaintance, being one of the many Mærsk carriers, which followed into the deal when Mærsk and Sterling merged and became known as Sterling.

The aircraft, which is of the type Boeing 737-500, came from Aalborg and had been chartered by the Danish Defence Ministry in connection with the changing of crews on one of their naval vessels currently based in the Faroes. The aircraft had retained its original Mærsk colour, but featured the new Sterling name and logo.
