1,7% fewer passengers for February
In February, 10.589 passengers came through Vagar Airport. This is 1,7% less compared to February of last year, when the corresponding figure was 10.770. This decrease has been recorded on scheduled flights to and from Denmark and Iceland.
Over the first two months, a total of 22.835 passengers came through the airport. This is 2,6% less compared to the same period last year, when 23.439 passengers were recorded. This decrease stems from the main scheduled routes to and from Denmark.
Over February, 283 aircraft arrived and departed. This is 6,4% more compared to February of last year, when 266 aircraft arrived and departed through the airport.
For the first two months, 622 aircraft came and departed through the airport. This is an increase of 9,5% compared to the corresponding period last year.
The total amount of airfreight, over the first two months of 2010, is 93,6 tons compared to 101,4 tons for the corresponding period last year. This represents a decrease of 7,6%.
