On Friday, November 14, 2025, the parties representing SMJ and Vágar Airport signed the main consultancy agreement for the expansion of the terminal at Vágar Airport.
On June 10 this year, it was announced that SMJ, together with Zeso (DK), Kontrast (FO), Spenn (FO), and Niras (DK), won the design competition for the expansion of the terminal at Vágar Airport. Since then, negotiations have taken place between the parties, and now the main consultancy agreement has been signed, allowing the detailed design phase to begin in earnest.
