6,9% increase in passenger numbers over April

Over the first four months there has been a 14,1% increase in passenger numbers

Over April 2007, a total of 16.671 passengers have arrived or departed through Vagar Airport. This corresponds to 6,9% more compared to April of last year, when the corresponding figure was 15.598. In April there has been a passenger decrease on all scheduled routes, with the exception of the routes to Denmark, where a 7% increase was recorded. On the routes to Norway there has been a 59,6% decrease, to Iceland 16,1% and to Great Britain a 54,2% decrease.

Over April there have been 396 flight arrival and departure operations. This is 11,8% less compared to April of last year, when 449 flight operations were recorded at the airport.

To date for 2007, a total of 54.315 passengers have come through the airport. This is an increase corresponding to 14,1% compared to the corresponding period for last year. 1.477 aircraft have arrived and departed through the airport to date. This corresponds to a 6,6% decrease compared to the corresponding period last year, when 1.581 aircraft came or departed through the airport.
